The Land
Masseria del Pino is truly tiny - one hectare of 120-year-old bush vines in Contrada Pino tucked away, out of sight at 800 metres of altitude. Planted with Nerello Muscalese and a field blend of whites, Cesare Fulvio and Federica Turillo makes three wines from the tiny vineyard, all without added sulphites. The couple moved to Etna from their nearby native Catania, leaving their jobs to seek serenity in the Northern face of Etna. The vineyard belongs to two elderly sisters, which sits at 1200 metres above sea level.
