The land
ROC is a wine from two very old, small vineyard plots in Valtuille de Abajo planted to 100-year old vine Mencia. The sandy soils give a very elegant aroma profile and a precise structure on the palate.
Vinification
50% whole bunch grapes are used in fermentation in 5000L wooden tanks with soft pigeage. Afterwards, it is aged in second and third use 228L French oak barrels for 14 months. Only soft filtering for big particles. Production: 4000 bottles.
The wine
Elegant aromas with a precise structure on the palate with intense characters of black fruit balanced with a subtle earthiness. A floral wine with a long finish.
