The Cuvée Précision is the very purest expression of the estate's Pyrenean gravel soils, with aromatic purity, balance and natural concentration equalled only by the wine's clean-cut texture and flavour... The dense yet silky structure of this wine is certain to give a first vintage of Précision d'Agassac endowed with great purity and ageing capacity. It is already expressing roasted and fruit jam hints that will give way over time to the menthol minerality that marks the terroir of the Château.
- To the eye: A deep garnet red with magnificent purplish tints magnifying the brilliance of thewine.
- First nose: The delicate yet powerful bouquet reveals successive touches of small stonefruit, black cherry, blackberry and menthol.
- After airing: As it opens out, the aromatic presence of cherries in eau de vie becomes moreclearly defined. The hints of black stone fruit (against a mineral backdrop) are then confirmed. Theyare backed up by a delicate hint of wood with vanilla. With a little oxygenation, the mineralityemerges, gratifying us with its intense purity and mocha notes.
- On the palate: Blessed with rich, velvety tannins coating a firm, fresh texture, the structureof this wine is rich and dense with hints of garigue, smoky white pepper and camphor. The fresh, fruity finish is set off to perfection by the hints of sandalwood and menthol that are so characteristic ofthe great Médoc terroirs.
